What actually drives the cost of a website in Dubai

Modern skyscrapers and yachts on the water at sunset.

Ask five agencies in Dubai to quote for the same website and you will get five numbers that look like they belong to different projects. That is not because four of them are trying it on. It is because the brief you gave leaves out the things that actually decide the cost.

Here is what moves the number, in roughly the order it matters.

How many pages need real thought

Page count is the first question everyone asks and the least useful one. Ten pages that share one layout is a small job. Four pages that each need their own structure is a bigger one.

The honest question is how many templates the site needs, not how many URLs. A homepage, a service page, a case study and a contact page might be four templates covering forty URLs. That is the number worth quoting on.

Whether you need Arabic

This is the single biggest swing in the UAE, and the one most quotes handle badly.

Adding Arabic properly is not a translation line item. The layout has to work right to left, which is more than flipping the CSS. Icons that imply direction need to flip. Icons that represent objects must not. Numbers and Latin brand names stay left to right inside a right to left sentence. The type needs setting for Arabic rather than borrowing the Latin scale.

Budget for it as a second design pass, because that is what it is. If the budget will not stretch, ship in English and add Arabic later as a planned phase. Half done bilingual is worse than neither. We go into the detail in how we approach design.

Who writes the words

Most quotes assume you are supplying copy. Most clients assume the agency is writing it. That gap is where projects stall for six weeks.

Writing is real work and it costs real money. It is also the part that decides whether the site sells anything. Decide up front who is doing it and get it priced either way.

What has to connect to what

A brochure site that emails you an enquiry is straightforward. A site that pushes leads into your CRM, checks stock against your inventory system, books into your calendar and takes a deposit is four integrations, and each one is a small project with its own failure modes.

Integrations are usually where the difference between a modest quote and a large one actually lives. See API integrations for how we scope them.

Whether anyone is looking after it afterwards

A website is not a thing you buy once. Plugins update, browsers change, SSL certificates expire, and the contact form quietly stops sending on a Tuesday in February.

Some quotes include a year of care and some do not, and comparing them without checking is how you end up choosing the more expensive option by accident. Ask what happens on day ninety-one. Care plans exist for exactly this.

The things that cost less than people expect

Hosting, for one. A well built site for a mid-sized business does not need an expensive server. Getting hosting close to your audience matters more than getting a big one, and that is a configuration choice rather than a spending one.

Domains too. A .ae domain requires a trade licence, which is a paperwork step rather than a cost. Most businesses register both .ae and .com and point one at the other.

The things that cost more than people expect

Photography. Real photographs of your premises, your team and your work will do more for enquiries than any amount of animation, and a decent shoot in Dubai is not cheap. It is still usually the best money in the project.

Content migration, if you have an existing site with a few hundred pages worth keeping. Moving it well takes time. Moving it badly loses rankings you spent years earning.

How to get quotes you can actually compare

Send everyone the same four facts: what the site has to make happen, whether it needs Arabic, who is writing the copy, and what it needs to connect to. You will get quotes that differ because the approaches differ, rather than because everyone guessed at a different project.
